We love exploring new flavours and sharing them through coffee. Thus this collaboration began when Brad, our Head of Coffee, selected a coffee from Ethiopia Yirgacheffe to age in a mature French oak wine barrel chosen from the winery at Singlefile Wines.
This resulting coffee has stunning notes of blackberry, dark chocolate and Bordeaux oak. It displays a juicy coffee acidity at the front, followed by a decadent vineyard finish. The melding of flavour has created a decadent and intoxicating coffee that we have named after the road that winds through Karri forest to get to Singlefile Wines and Stash Coffee - Walter Road.

The Stash Coffee roastery is nestled amongst the chardonnay and pinot noir grapes of the Singlefile vineyard. To take advantage of the local character of our unique cool climate wines, Brad and the winemakers chose a matured French barrique oak barrel based on the depth and compelling character of it's aroma and flavour.
The barrel had spent two years maturing a premium Great Southern Cabernet Sauvignon. Then it spent 90 days maturing a single origin specialty coffee from Yirgacheffe. The result is a compelling locally processed single origin, bringing many of the complexities of cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon into the coffee, with a balanced aromatic and flavour palette.
